Zimbabwean motorists can now check online for traffic fines recorded under the Zimbabwe Republic Police's new Smart Traffic Management System.
The system uses cameras to detect traffic violations in selected central business districts. When an offence is recorded, the registered vehicle owner is notified by sms and receives a link to view details of the incident.
If you want to check whether your vehicle has an outstanding fine, here's what to do.
How to check ZRP traffic fines online
The ZRP has designated two websites for checking traffic violations and outstanding deposit fines:
On the PayMyFines website, you can search using your vehicle registration number or a reference number. The site also asks you to verify the last three digits of the phone number registered to the vehicle.
Follow the instructions displayed to complete your enquiry. If you have received an SMS about an alleged offence, keep it handy so you can access the incident details.
What if you need help?
If you cannot check your fines online, the ZRP says motorists can visit these police stations for assistance:
- ZRP Harare Central Traffic
- ZRP Warren Park Traffic
- ZRP Avondale Traffic
- Milton Park Police Station
- Marlborough Police Station
- Malbereign Police Station
- ZRP Mbare Traffic
- ZRP Chitungwiza Traffic
The police have also warned that no agents have been contracted to collect fines on their behalf. Be wary of anyone asking you to pay through unofficial channels.
Keep your vehicle ownership details up to date
The ZRP has urged motorists to ensure their vehicle ownership records reflect the current owner. If you have sold a vehicle but the ownership transfer has not been completed, you could face complications over traffic offences committed after the sale.
The Smart Traffic Management System was declared operational in selected CBDs on 17 October 2026. Checking the designated websites and keeping your vehicle records up to date are practical steps motorists can take as the system rolls out.
