Telecel Zimbabwe, the fastest growing mobile network has finally pulled a card its subscribers have been clamouring for long enough. Its latest promotion now allows subscribers can use the Mega bonus to make local calls – a perk which had been non-existent since it launched its Mega-branded promotion last year.
The promotion is valid until the 30th of August this year.
The rules for getting the bonus haven’t changed; you buy a dollar worth’s airtime, you get a dollar free. The bonus dollar is valid for four days, after which it is nullified and removed from the subscriber’s credit balance.
The Mega family, which has exploded into a massive promotion movement is Telecel’s line of market attack, opposed to Econet’s weak Buddie Zone, which now seems like nothing against Telecel’s accelerated promotion drive and Netone’s Dollar-a-say promotion, which still ranks best in terms of total talk time awarded, though only usable intra-network.
Under the same promotion, new subscribers will also earn themselves 50 cents call time and 200 bonus SMSes as a welcome package, all valid for thrity days.
